The highlight for many is dinner, which is served in our elegant dining room. The menu varies daily and is imaginatively prepared by our Master Chef, Mr. Barrie Garton. Our hotel is situated 2½ miles from Alston in Cumbria and is easily accessible from all parts of the UK. Our location makes it an ideal centre from which to visit the Lake District, Hadrian's Wall, the North Pennines, Durham Cathedral and the Yorkshire Dales. Return to escape the crowds and enjoy the experience of dinner with its luxurious food and wines. The hotel retains the ambience of a private residence and guests are warmly welcomed. We presently serve Sunday luncheons on the first Sunday of each month, however, due to popular demand we are considering serving them on more than one Sunday each month.
